Caeroog (/caeroog/ [Translation Unavailable]) is a subtropical Town located in Aguzazi County, Uldan County, within the Kingdom of Helsteria.

The name Caeroog is derived from the Sylvin language, as Caeroog was founded by Dendromorpha Watson, who was culturaly Sylvin.

Climate

Caeroog has a yearly average temperature of 22°C (71°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 27°C (80°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 18°C (64°F). Caeroog receives an average of 141 cm/y (55 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Caeroog covers an area of nearly 4 km2 (1 mi2), and an average elevation of 6700 m (-20968 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Caeroog was founded durring the late 16th century in spring of the year 1469, by Dendromorpha Watson. The establishment of Caeroog was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Dendromorpha Watson electing to pay people to resettle in Caeroog.

Caeroog was built using the conventions of Sylvin durring the late 16th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Caeroog is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Caeroog is buildings have been located at convienant points along the rivers Caeroog was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the broad baked earthen streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The town posesses a mighty albit amaturly crafted stone wall. It was built using querried stone blocks and posesses all of the standard defencive features, including a few watch towers. While it would last against a siege, the wall's outdated and simplistic construction method percludes the possability of Caeroog weathering a full scale bombardment durring a siege. Unfortuantly, these budget focused millitary grade defenses are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

Something in your gut tells you that you may be unwelcome in Caeroog. The town seems like it’s not showing you the side of itself it would show to others. People mostly ignore your questions. Many folks ask you to leave their establishments, even before you’ve walked inside them. You should probably listen to them, as every time you’re asked to leave the person asking you to leave has referenced the town’s patron divine in some way. The little voice in the back of your mind that tells you when you’re in danger feels like it’s just glaring at you and muttering about how stupid you are for even remaining in town.

Caeroog has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Caeroog's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Caeroog possesses an older civil lighting system consisting of street lamps. These lights provide nighttime illumination to most city streets.

Caeroog has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Caeroog has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Caeroog's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is famous for its stately symmetry, classical elements, and grand appearance. Columns and pillars, such as Corinthian columns, are often seen supporting open structures or porticos. Symmetry is an important feature of this style, with each half of a building mirroring the other. Domed ceilings and windows grace these buildings, with everything placed in a mathematical arrangement.

In Caeroog most nights are accompanied by colorful ribbons of light in the sky.

The Land Lamprey near Caeroog are known to be a mutant strain of the creature.

Caeroog's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in winter and involves long periods of drunkenness to channel Enchantment energies of tier 2 via singing.
